Descriptions:

Before you do roof concreting, you should make sure about 8 important things, which I want to tell you:

Formwork
While doing formwork, ensure it’s clean and leakage-proof. While applying shuttering, even application is important; this will make de-shuttering easier. Ensure formwork shuttering support is placed every 1 meter. Make sure dimensions, openings, and ducts are as per approved drawings.

Reinforcement
In reinforcement fabrication, rebar size and spacing should match the structural drawing. Ensure cover blocks are placed every 1 meter. Ensure lap length and bends are as per standard.

Electrical Conduits
Check electrical conduits as per drawings. Make sure conduits and rebar do not interfere. Ensure conduit junction boxes are properly sealed so concrete does not enter the boxes.

Service Coordination
Ensure all electrical conduits and plumbing lines match civil and MEP drawings before concreting.

Concrete Pouring Plan
Follow the engineer’s advice while planning pouring sequence to avoid cold joint problems.

Availability of Materials and Equipment
Ensure ready availability of materials and equipment, including on-site concrete mixing setup, vibrator, sufficient manpower, pumps, and water for curing.

Safety & Accessibility
Ensure working platforms and scaffolding are safe and secure. In case of emergency, we have to ensure we followed all safety rules.

Pre-Concreting Approvals
Before concreting, ensure fabrication work or rebar arrangements are approved by the structural engineer.

If you follow these 8 things, your slab’s strength and stability will not have any issues. If you want any consulting related to this, you can reach out to me.
