Descriptions:

In a structural consulting office, when a project comes to us, let me visually explain how we work on it.

My name is Madhanashree, and I am a structural engineer.

When a project is assigned to us, the first thing we examine is the soil test report. We study the nature of the soil, its behavior, and its load-bearing capacity. This forms the foundation of all structural decisions.

Next, once the architectural drawings are received, we understand the functionality and planning of the space. Based on the building’s requirements, we mark the column and beam layout accordingly.

The third step is load calculation. We determine whether the building is residential, commercial, or industrial, such as a factory. We carefully classify all expected loads and complete detailed structural calculations.

Fourth, using structural software, we create a complete structural model of the building. We analyze how the structure behaves when all the calculated loads act on it. Based on the analysis results, we design and detail the required reinforcement.

After that, we cross-check to ensure that the structural members do not clash with architectural sections or interior elements.

Finally, using all the finalized structural details, we prepare the bar bending schedules and cost estimations.

By following this systematic process, we have successfully completed more than 250 projects.
