But slowly, in a few industries, this cycle is being altered without our awareness. The best example is the SIM card industry. All of us use Airtel, Jio, Vodafone or BSNL. Earlier, when we recharged monthly, the pack validity used to be 30 days. Today, that same pack is valid for only 28 days.
Because of this 2-day reduction, we end up paying for 13 recharges a year instead of 12. It may look like a small change, but the impact is huge. Companies gain more cash flow and increased profits, while we silently pay extra.
