Descriptions:
We earn for 12 months, but unknowingly we’ve started paying for 13 months. A financial shift is happening around us, and most of us don’t even realize it.
For decades, everything in our financial life has been based on a 12-month cycle. Salary is calculated yearly. House construction is planned yearly. EMIs run yearly. Even quarterly financial planning adds up to 12 months. Our entire money system runs on this structure.
But slowly, in a few industries, this cycle is being altered without our awareness. The best example is the SIM card industry. All of us use Airtel, Jio, Vodafone or BSNL. Earlier, when we recharged monthly, the pack validity used to be 30 days. Today, that same pack is valid for only 28 days.
Because of this 2-day reduction, we end up paying for 13 recharges a year instead of 12. It may look like a small change, but the impact is huge. Companies gain more cash flow and increased profits, while we silently pay extra.
Some packs have even dropped to 21 days. We think 1 or 2 days don’t matter, but over a year, it becomes an entire additional month of payment. We earn for 12 months, but unknowingly we’ve started paying for 13 months. A financial shift is happening around us, and most of us don’t even realize it.
