Just taking data from various meters and preparing report in different formats, submitting report to the customer will not be an energy management system, it’s only a data logging system.
The energy management system is the system where the report should be generated in such way that support customer to arrive at the specific energy consumption and to support customer for preventive measures through predictive analysis report.
What is specific energy consumption? I’ll share one small example to you – for manufacturing 100 products if you want 100 kWh unit means for manufacturing 1 product you need 1 kWh unit, which means 100 divided by 100 is one unit. One is the specific energy consumption for manufacturing one product. So the energy management system will support you to arrive at the specific energy consumption of your plant.
The energy management system should be designed in such way that it gives the report in such way that it gives some indication about critical parameters like power factor, energy, and demand. So when this information is available in the energy management system, the maintenance team of industry will take some preventive measures to keep all the parameters within control.
