This time, I am going to bring you directly to the chemical industry and show you how the equipment I made works.
What you see behind me is the reactor, also called the process vessel. In this reactor, every arrangement required for the chemical reaction is provided. It is designed to process liquids, powders, and solids together. To ensure proper mixing, an agitator is installed at the top.
An important feature of this vessel is that it is manufactured using SS304 or SS316 stainless steel. This is the top section of the process vessel. Now, let’s look at the bottom section.
Inside the reactor, the materials are heated to the required temperature. For this purpose, the vessel is surrounded by an outer jacket. Thermal fluid oil circulates through the gap between the jacket and the vessel at temperatures of around 800–900 degrees, heating the entire reactor evenly. The vessel is also insulated to prevent heat loss.
You can see a similar principle in a household pressure cooker—it works on the same concept, but this is an industrial-scale application.
