In any manufacturing industry to run the machinery electrical motor is must. Without any electrical motor we cannot run any equipment. Electrical motors are of various types but in that the HT motors are very very critical.
When I’m talking about HT motors mostly it is connected to some critical equipment in the plant. So what happens in HT motor most of the times it operates at a little higher temperature than the other motors. When it is operating at higher temperature then always using a right lubricant with a high temperature capability is a must.
I will tell you what will happen in case we don’t use a high temperature grease. Whenever there is a temperature increase in the electrical motor the normal lubricant which is inside the bearing will not withstand thereby the lubricant will first fail then the bearing also will fail and if the bearing fails then the electrical motor stops rotating and because of this the entire equipment itself will be stopped and this may lead to huge production loss to the organization itself. Hence using a high temperature grease which is having a polyurea based thickener is always a recommended grease for HT motors.
Now let me tell you what are the benefits of using the polyurea based grease. These grease can withstand up to 160 degrees celsius and these greases can run for a longer time so thereby the re-lubrication interval also will increase for a customer and that will also help in reducing the manpower cost associated with lubrication.
