First, Site Selection. We need to plan the floor level of our road and site. We also need to plan the height of the water level.
Second, Road Access. We need to plan proper road access for our products.
Third, Drainage Point. Proper drainage planning is essential for efficient cold storage operation.
Fourth, Building Structure. We need to decide if we are going to build a pre-engineering building or cover the structure with sheets. This depends on the budget. The structure should be completely waterproof and should cover the sides effectively.
Fifth, Electrical Supply. We need to plan the electrical capacity for the refrigeration unit and lighting. Proper placement of MCBs, switches, and breakers is also necessary.
Sixth, Foundation. When designing cold storage, we need to plan based on the product, weight, and rack & stack system.
Seventh, Civil Work. Before constructing cold storage, the floor level should be at zero. After installation, the floor needs to be concreted and the quota stone laid properly.
