VCI – Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor
This is the solution for preventing rusting issues. VCI acts as secondary rust protection for automotive components. It comes in the form of a packaging cover that emits certain molecules, which prevent oxidation and eliminate rusting inside the packaged components. By using VCI as secondary protection, automotive components can be protected from rust for almost two years, even during sea shipments.
Many customers face challenges in selecting the right product because VCI covers come in various thicknesses—80 microns, 100 microns, and 150 microns. On the other hand, identifying the right supplier is also a challenge. Some manufacturers just produce normal polythene covers, add color, and claim them to be VCI, which causes confusion for customers.
